Hi, I'm Stimmie.
Survival SMPs, modded setups for friends, and university communities. I just like making places for people to play together.
About
I started making servers when I was 13 just to play with friends, but it eventually became a serious hobby. Learned Linux, Java, and Docker along the way.
My biggest project was HearthCraft, a server that ran for 7 years and had over 40,000 players join. I handled the infrastructure and custom plugins, and worked alongside an amazing staff team to manage the community.
I'm used to dealing with dedicated servers, tracking down lag spikes, securing the backend, and configuring plugins so they actually fit what the players want.
I also do normal programming stuff like web apps and data science. Check out my GitHub.
I helped write guides for Bloom.host.
Skills
Setting up Linux boxes from scratch. Mostly using Docker and Pterodactyl these days.
Keeping the server at 20 TPS. Reading Spark profiles, tuning JVM flags, and limiting chunk hoppers.
Writing custom Java plugins when needed, and spending hours in YAML files getting setups right.
Basic firewall rules, configuring LuckPerms properly, and dealing with anti-cheats.
Linking servers with Velocity or BungeeCord. Pointing domains and setting up SRV records.
Handling the human side. Staff management, Discord bots, and dealing with player reports.
Servers
My first server. Figured out how to configure plugins and balance an economy here.
My biggest project. A no-reset SMP with 40k+ unique joins. I ran the bare-metal servers, wrote custom plugins, and managed the staff team.
FlagshipThe host doesn't exist anymore, but I spent a few months here resolving technical tickets for clients.
Helped them optimize their setup and gave advice on what plugins to use.
I wrote and updated guides for docs.bloom.host to help other server owners.
Just a chill server I set up for De La Salle University students to play together.
Set up the official Minecraft server for UPLB Batch 2024. Handled all the tech stuff.
Did the same thing for the next batch. Hosted it, managed plugins, kept it running.
I've also made a bunch of smaller servers for friends—Pixelmon, modpacks, you name it.
New server, optimization, or just a question — happy to chat.
